Edit registry folder permissions in Windows 7 with Powershell

Hello to all. I'm new to Powershell, but hoping to learn a lot. I have a question: is it possible to use Powershell to edit the permissions of a registry folder? I have PCs in my work environment that "auto-login" with a domain account and a program that needs to be edited before use. The accounts will reset the program settings if PC is rebooted. Changing registry setting manually works, but I would like to do this with Powershell because of the amount of PCs in the environment. Thanks in advance for any help.
