how robust is powershell remoting?

hi together!

for our company we want to share some functions with powershell globally, and have at the moment two different ideas.

the first is to write a own webservice. but the disadvantage is that we do not have wide spreaded skills to domthis, so the second is

to share a module wizh powershell remoting. 

so we scare about that the solution may not be robust enough to handle about 5.000 to 6.000 connections from about 7 o'clock to 9:30.

do someone have experiance with ps-remoting in big environments?
