The Desired State Configuration (DSC) configuration management architecture is fairly straightforward. Rather than using a typical architectural diagram, I prefer to represent the DSC and its components spread across various phases of configuration management. This representation not only helps us understand DSC architecture and its components but also provides a clear picture on what role these components play in the configuration life cycle.
