New-PSDrive for URL

Hi

Is it possible to create a new PSDrive to a URL? I'm trying to script the copying of documents to SharePoint 2010 libraries from a windows 7 desktop machine. I have tried the usual map network drive methods and these are proving inconsistent, sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. Any help would be appreciated
